Cedar Grove Weir already storing water

4 January 2008 - The completion of the $18.5 million Cedar Grove Weir is a major milestone in the strategy to meet the water needs of a fast growing South East Queensland (SEQ).

Fishway underway at Cedar Grove Weir

15 November 2007 - A fishway is being incorporated into the Cedar Grove Weir to facilitate the upstream and downstream movement of fish, and its design is similar to fishways used successfully at a number of other weirs in Queensland.

Work commences at Cedar Grove

10 July 2007 - Construction of the Cedar Grove Weir, which is part of the Logan Catchment Works, is now underway and on schedule to be completed by the end of the year. Construction began with a 135-tonne crane driving the first of 1,400 tonnes of foundation sheet pile into the riverbed on 20 June.
